And God’s Education And Guidance cannot possibly be at fault.
It is your own being that is faulty.
For you came to be because of your parents, and your parents came to be because of their parents.
You came to be because your parents had sexual intercourse.
But they had no idea, they were completely unaware, that inside them at that moment their emotions, their
wrong behaviour and mistakes made in their daily life, would form a lens in their Inner Feeling.
And when the husband united with his wife, those mistakes were created in the child; as a result, the child’s nature was full of mistakes, which they manifested.
That is why this Latihan is an immeasurable benefit for you, because your faulty state will be limited and, if you improve your state by doing the Latihan and Receiving what you need for your life, all the mistakes that have been handed down for so long from your ancestors will vanish; they will end with you.
And after that you will have descendants, children, who are new human beings with human souls, just as human beings had in ancient times.
‘But Why Has God Only Given This Now?’ you may ask.
Bapak does not know what God’s Will is.
He can only draw his own conclusions from the coming of the Latihan and the Experiences that he has Received.
You may have Received this too.
Perhaps the reason why the Latihan has come only now – at this time, in the atomic age – And Why God Did Not Give It To Humankind Before, Is Because God Knows, God Of Course Realises, that the condition of humankind in the world is such that hardly anyone has peace of mind.
Everyone is anxious; their feelings are constantly disturbed.
It is not so bad here; but in America and in Europe, people or nations who dislike each other live in close proximity.
That makes people anxious, because human beings have made a weapon that is extremely threatening to human life on earth.
That is the cause.
As a result, human beings everywhere are anxious and seeking a way to find peace in their heart and feelings.
Maybe it is because of this situation that God Decided To Give The Latihan To Humankind Now.
Hopefully, many people will Receive it and, even though the world will not become peaceful overnight, many people will find Inner Peace Because They Will Feel Close To The Power of God That Is Within Them.
Hopefully, the people in power will Receive the Latihan too, and then they will have no desire to make enemies of other people.
If that were to happen the world would automatically become a place that is prosperous and peaceful.
Well, Bapak and all of you can only pray for that.
But If Indeed That Is To Be, If That Is God’s Will, There Will Be A Way.
Bapak will explain something by way of proof of this.
He himself felt in the past, in 1932, when he Received certain Words … Bapak does not claim that these
Words came from God.
He simply says that they were Words that he knew and understood; namely, That God Would Give Bapak the opportunity to travel around the world and that wherever he went he would be treated like a father, like an elder brother.
He would be received as someone who could give explanations for the good of humankind.
At that time Bapak thought to himself, ‘Is that possible?’
He was not a rich man, a person with resources.
And even if he were rich and had resources he would not have been able to travel round the world six times, as he has done now.
And neither would it be possible for Bapak to be liked by everyone, by people of every race.
Even Indians, Maoris – people of any race – look to Bapak as their father.
But that is precisely what happened.
Therefore, if Inwardly Bapak did not trust in the Words he Received he would be two-faced, because it has
already come true.
What Bapak is doing now is in keeping with those Words that he Received. [Recording ends here.]

This shows that God really does Encompass and Fill all God’s creatures, including human beings.
And it is the reason why the Spiritual Association of SUBUD can bring together people from every nation and from every religion.
And in SUBUD. even though the Members come from different races and religions, they feel they are part of one family.
This shows that in reality you all come from the same race – the human race – not from this race or that race.
This is the race that God originally Created:
‘I Have Created One Race Of Human Beings, Namely Adam And Eve.’
So, who made the different races, who made skin this colour or that colour?
Bapak’s complexion is not white and it is not black, it is not red and not yellow, it is a mixture of those four colours – namely, brown.
Bapak has understood and felt that … well, he is an Indonesian of the Javanese race, a Javanese, but looking from the Spiritual viewpoint, Bapak has seen that his ancestors came from Rome, from the Mediterranean.
But after a few generations had lived in Java, in Indonesia, Bapak saw that … [inaudible]
That is how it is.
So it is human beings themselves who made this race and that race, and so on, not God.
God Created only one people, one race.
For that reason, Brothers and Sisters, you will not be able to return to God unless you can unite the different races within your body to make one race.
It is the same in religion.
That is why every religion is willing to receive anyone into that religion regardless of their race.
For in religion it is told that the only one who can worship and who can come before God is a complete human being.
That is why religions spread their teaching to every corner, every part of the world – even sending missionaries into the jungle – so that human beings will realise that there is one God for everyone, one God for one people: the human race.
Therefore do not worship trees or rivers, the sea or mountains; worship the One God that is the God of the human race.
And the name Susila Budhi Dharma, which we abbreviate to SUBUD, is a name that we created. I say ‘we’, because collectively all of us created that name.
For if we did not have a name how would people refer to us?
Even for you as an individual, if you were nameless what would people call you, how could people talk to you?
So of course we needed a name. And we created the name whose meaning reflects what we Receive in the Latihan – Susila Budhi Dharma.
Susila refers to a way of behaving and to a character that is humane. To act in a humane way means to help others, to care for others, to respect others, to value other human beings.
Budhi means that the Power of God Resides or Manifests within every human being, within each one of you.
This is what Bapak was describing to you earlier, how, after God had Created the Angels, God Willed His Will into every entity so that human beings would be able to find their way to God quickly.
And Dharma, Brothers and Sisters: Dharma means to let go, Dharma means to release, Dharma means to surrender absolutely to God’s Power.
That is our way, our way of worshipping Almighty God, so that we can get closer to God’s Leadership, get closer to God’s Guidance and Teaching for us.
So the name SUBUD – Susila Budhi Dharma – is not about knowledge that you will acquire.
It is a name that refers to you; it is the name of our Spiritual Association.
Therefore, if you lived well before you joined SUBUD and now life is hard for you, do not blame SUBUD. Don’t do that.
SUBUD is not to blame, because SUBUD is your own name, showing that this Spiritual Association is called Susila Budhi Dharma and with the meaning that Bapak just described to you.

Perhaps you are wondering, ‘If God Is Inside Us, Where Is God To Be Found?
Is God In Here, Or In Here?’ [Bapak gestures to various parts of his body.]
Brothers and Sisters, ‘you’ are not in here, or in here, [gestures] but in your whole body.
So, if your name is Elizabeth or Carol, ‘you’ are in Carol, not in your ear, not in your eyes, but in your whole body.
So You Feel The Closeness Of God’s Will To You In Every Part Of Your Body.
That Is Why Every Part Of Your Body Is Moved In Latihan.
You Are Made To Walk In The Latihan.
Yet you have been able to walk since you were a child, and you walk very well.
You Wave Your Hands About In The Latihan: ‘Why do I have to do that?
After all, I’ve been able to wave my hands about since I was small.’
It is the same with other actions – Seeing, Smelling, Hearing, Eating, Talking, Speaking, Thinking and Feeling.
You can do all those things; you have done them since you were little.
Why Do You Repeat Them In The Latihan?
The reason is that, as yet, you cannot Feel the Power of God in every part of your body.
Eventually, you will be able to tell the difference between ‘I walk’ and ‘I Am Being Made To Walk’; ‘I grasp’ and ‘I Am Being Made To Grasp’.
And when you can do that, your whole body – every part of you – Will Constantly Be Guided, Led Or Supported By The Power Of God.
Then, one by one, every part of you will discover its true nature, its true function.
And so you will never lose your way in life – be it in this life or in the next life, after you die.
And each SUBUD Member, every one of you, Receives The Latihan In Your Own Way.
Your Latihan cannot be the same as anyone else’s. Why not?
Because God Knows, God Understands, that no two people are alike, especially people who are unrelated.
Even siblings from the same mother and father will be different, different in behaviour and in nature.
Because that is so, The Way God Guides Each Individual Is Adjusted To Suit Their Strength, Ability, Habits And Situation.
This is why there is no teaching or method used in the Spiritual Association of Susila Budhi Dharma.
It would be a mistake to use a method.
For if there were a method – for instance, Mr Subuh’s method – everyone would have to be like Mr Subuh.
That would be difficult for you to do; it would make life difficult for Mr Subuh and for you.
You would have to forget your way of doing things, you would have to forget everything that you enjoy, all the things that you do.
That is what it would be like.
That is why the Spiritual Association of SUBUD uses no methods, mantras or teaching, Because We Are Led, Guided And Educated By The Power Of God That Envelops Everything That God Has Created.
And Bapak simply Opened the way for you.
Why did he need to Open the way for you?
The reason is that you have blocked your own Path To God’s Power with your desires.
That is the reason, so Bapak just Opened the way; at that moment he set aside your low forces.
When Bapak stood in front of you, You Felt There Was Something Vibrating Inside You.
That Is The Vibration Of Life That Occurs When The Contact Is Made With The Great Power Of God That Encompasses You.
It is referred to in Islam as the Qadr Ilh- Am.
It Is A Movement Granted By God, The Movement Of Life.
That Is Why You Feel A Vibration Inside You, And That Is What Causes You To Move Spontaneously.

That is the story Bapak wanted to tell you.
It is just to help you understand the nature of this Latihan that you Receive in such a simple way.
That is to say, you Receive it in your everyday state and you do not have to behave in a certain way or act strangely, you do not have to rid yourself of all your desires, you do not have to do without all pleasures, you do not have to isolate yourself from society, you do not have to leave your family and hide away in a deep forest or by the ocean or in the mountains.
Indeed, Brothers and Sisters, God Does Not Want It To Be Difficult For You, For Human Beings, To Find God And God’s Power.
On the contrary, it is human beings that go wrong because they want to look for God.
They look for God using their heart and mind.
They look for God by doing this or that, all sorts of things, and probably they do not find God.
It is impossible for a human being to find God, because human beings try to look for God using their heart and mind.
But the human heart and mind cannot get as far as the heavens; it is impossible.
If a person were to go just from this planet to another planet their heart and mind could not be used there, because the atmosphere on another planet is completely different.
That is why, as long as a human being looks for God and God’s Power they will find neither.
But if a human being does not look, God Will Give To Them.
That is why all religions say that only someone who is patient, accepting, willing to let go, and who surrenders to the Greatness of Almighty God Will Receive God’s Revelation Or God’s Blessings.
That is it.
Because the way you Receive the Latihan is Spontaneous, without any act of will, maybe you can say to yourself that, without knowing how and without expecting it, the Latihan Comes By Itself.
It is clear from this that you do not need to look for God, Because You Have begun To Be Guided By God, You Have Begun To Be Directed By God, To Be Educated By God – You Are Being Led Back To God By God.
That is why Bapak tells you that when you do the Latihan simply Receive it, with a feeling of patience and willingness to let go.
Do not think about it.
For You Do Not Need To Learn How To Do The Latihan; You Are Required Only To Surrender To God, Because God Will Guide You Directly In Whatever Part Of Your Body You Are Able To Occupy With Your True Self.

Bapak wants to talk some more about The Creation Of The Angels Of Light, to help you understand the Extent Of God’s Care And God’s Love For Everything That God Has Created – for all of you.
The Angels Were Made From Light, And The Light That Turned Into Angels Is A Kind Of Light That Travels A Thousand Times Faster than the sunlight that illuminates the earth.
Now, a ray of sunlight – you may be more knowledgeable about this than Bapak – takes just fifteen seconds to reach Earth.
That is how fast a ray of sunlight travels to Earth. Fifteen seconds!
But The Speed Of An Angel Is A Thousand Times Faster Than That.
Therefore It Does Not Even Take One Second For An Angel To Travel Here From The Sun.
And Yet It Takes An Angel Fifty Years To Travel From The First Heaven To The Seventh Heaven – One Hundred Years, There And Back.
That is why God Concluded or Realized,
‘It Is Impossible For A Human Being To Do That, So How Can I Give Human Beings A Way To Know That I Am Their God And To Know My Power?’
Hence God Created God’s Will Within Every Creature He Created.
In Reality, Was God’s Will Really Implemented In That Way?
It is true, Brothers and Sisters.
You will certainly remember – that is, those of you who are religious – how close Christ was to God. Like a son with his father, Christ had only to look up and he could see Where God Was.
And those of you who are Muslims will know that Prophet Muhammad, the Messenger of God, Was Summoned To God’s Presence.
He set out at 9.30 pm and returned home at 4.30 am.
That Is The Reality.
Human beings, even though they Were Created by God out of ordinary material and matter and are nothing like an Angel, in their worship – when they worship God – They Are Permitted To Reach God And God’s Power Faster Than An Angel Can.
Now, it is also told in this story that one of the Angels did not want to obey God’s Orders in this regard, because that Angel resented human beings – who were made from earth, water, wind, and heat or fire – Being Allowed To Reach God Faster Than An Angel Could.
Eventually, that Angel swore to himself that he would tempt human beings, and any human he succeeded in tempting would not be able to travel to God faster than that Angel.

Given that, God Created once more: He Created God’s Will.
The Will of God, in certain terminology, in Islam, is called the Essence of God, or Dhat Allah.
It was Created And Sent To Everything That God Had Created And That Inhabits The Environments In Each Of Those Heavens.
Included among God’s Creations, which Bapak just said inhabit each of the Heavens, is humankind.
Therefore, Brothers and Sisters, we can conclude that the Power of Almighty God, God Who Is All-Powerful, Is Present in all of you.
Its Purpose is to enable humankind – all of you – to know and understand God and God’s Power faster than an Angel can.
But why are you unable to do that?
The reason is that you give more importance to your own ability, your own intelligence and your own cleverness.
Some of you may even think that God can be seen, that God can be heard, that God can be portrayed like other things human beings can see.
That is why it is also said that Almighty God Has No Form.
God Has No Shape, God Is Beyond Time, God Has No Colour, God Has No Nation, God Has No Race, And God Speaks No Language.
However, God Can Put Himself On A Level Wth Anything That God Has Created; For Instance, With Matter, Plants, Animals, Human Beings And Other Creatures That Cannot Be Seen.
Naturally, you think that cows, goats and lizards are unaware of God.
However, maybe they are aware of God but you do not know it, you cannot understand that yet.
How can they know God?
Lizards, cows, goats and other animals are no different from you; they were Created by Almighty God too.
You yourself will have experienced that if you make something you are certain to have a bond with it in your heart.
Suppose you make something that is criticised by other people, you will certainly feel it in your heart.
This shows that there is always a connection between the one who makes something and the object that is made.
There is also a Connection between God and whatever God Creates, be it an animal, a plant or an object.
Because Almighty God Created it, God Remains Connected To It.

The reason is that the Spiritual Training of SUBUD, the Latihan you Receive and follow, Comes by itself.
It is a Receiving that is not brought about by human will, or through the use of willpower, or a method or a mantra, or anything like that.
On the contrary, before Bapak Received it there was nothing like this Latihan that you Receive now.
Furthermore, at that time Bapak was giving no thought to Spiritual Matters and had no interest in them; he thought only about worldly matters, because he was working.
Bapak had this Receiving he is talking about in 1922 – coincidentally, he was then twenty-two.
Bapak Received the Latihan in the same way that you do now.
It Came Suddenly, Spontaneously, and he had no idea what it was that he was Receiving.
Even so, he simply felt happy and had faith that, as it was not brought about intentionally by Bapak, as it was not brought about by using the desires, It Had To Be Something That Was Right, Holy And Good.
Now, even though Bapak later got Explanations from Within that Came from God, he does not need to tell you about them, because were you to think about those Explanations using your mind, they would seem to you to be just stories, empty talk or fairy tales.

And you will probably find out for yourself in the future, once you reach the necessary Stage.
Bapak is telling you this so that you will not keep wondering why we do not study how to do the Latihan.
And why in SUBUD we do not use any method other than to follow the Movements That Come From Within, and that each of us Receives individually.
It is to be expected, Brothers and Sisters, and Bapak cannot blame you if you think that way.
For even in Indonesia, the place where Bapak was born, many people ask him,
‘How is it possible to Receive something without studying it? There is no knowledge or learning that does not have to be studied.’
Then Bapak has to tell them,
‘That’s the way it is. You can realize and experience for yourself that if you Receive something without study, if you Receive it without an act of will, it means that it Comes from beyond the reach of the human mind.
And if that is the case, you can conclude that it Comes only from Almighty God – God Who Is All-Knowing, Who Knows What Is Best For Humankind.’
There was a story told by someone who Received the Grace of God, who Was Blessed by God, that before anything existed – before the world existed, before you existed – there was only the Power of God.
Then, or so it was told by the person who spoke of this, God Willed and Created something to test God’s Intelligence, Glory and Power.
There Came into Existence Seven Spheres – what the Dutch call the Heavens – seven of them.
God Created Seven Heavens in seven days.
Eventually people would come to understand, and say that the Formation of those Heavens began on a Saturday.
That is why people who lived in Greece in ancient times declared hat Saturday was a special day, a day that was Holier than the other days.
The story Bapak just told you has a correlation with how the Latihan Arrived.
After God Created the Seven Heavens … do not misunderstand the term ‘Heavens’, they are not planets. No.
A Heaven is not a planet, a planet is a world like the world we live in.
After God Had Created the Seven Heavens, God Doubted Himself.
God Needed a witness.
For that reason, God Created something that could be sent out, something that was called an Angel.
God Created as many Angels as would be needed for everything else that God Was Going To Create.
And the Angels Were Made Out Of Light.
Light in this sense is not light from a lamp, but Light meaning the Power or the Intelligence, or the Ability or the Nobility, of Almighty God.
So, God Made the Angels out of Light.
And when God Had Created them He said,
‘Angels, Go And See The Heavens That I Have Made.’
After getting their Orders from God, the Angels went and visited all the Heavens that God Had Created.
And the journey took fifty years [each way]; there and back took one hundred years.
When God heard from the Angels that the trip from God to visit all the Heavens took fifty years, or one hundred years there and back, God immediately Felt – or so the story goes –
‘If That Is The Case, Then None Of The Things That I Am Going To Create, And That Will Inhabit Each Of The Heavens, Will Ever Know Me; They Will Never Understand Me And My Power.’
